Perform Intra-Crestal Sinus Lifts Working on Live Patients in 7 Days
Perform semi-complex implant surgeries under expert supervision and expand your clinical capabilities.
Gain hands-on experience with semi-complex cases under expert supervision
Level 2 was created by Dr. Virgil Mongalo for intermediate doctors who:
-
Have placed 50–100 implants, or
-
Have successfully completed LIT Level 1, or
-
Have completed a GPR program with oral surgery components
This level is designed to transition doctors from foundational implant placement into advanced surgical decision-making and comprehensive case management.
While there is no official global registry reporting the exact number of sinus lifts performed annually, implant volume data and published clinical studies clearly demonstrate that sinus augmentation is a frequent and essential procedure in posterior maxillary implant therapy.
• Approximately 5.5 million dental implants are placed globally per year (market estimates).
• Published clinical cohorts report that 33.3% of implants were placed in lateral sinus-lifted areas.
• An additional 4.4% were placed in crestal (internal) sinus-lifted areas.
• Some studies report that over 50% of posterior maxillary implants involve sinus augmentation procedures.
• Approximately 500,000 Americans undergo dental implant surgery each year.
• The posterior maxilla remains one of the most frequent anatomical challenges.
• Sinus augmentation is commonly required due to limited vertical bone height in this region.
Given the frequency of posterior maxillary implant placement worldwide and in the United States, mastery of sinus elevation techniques—both lateral and crestal—has become foundational in advanced implant training. LIT remains positioned as a leader in providing structured, high-intensity surgical education in sinus augmentation procedures.
