AAIP
AMERICAN ACADEMY OF IMPLANT PROSTHODONTICS
The American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP) was founded in 1982 by Dr. Maurice J. Fagan, Jr., at the School of Dentistry, Medical College of Georgia, to provide educational opportunities in implant prosthodontics for dentists, dental students, dental laboratory technicians, and dental auxiliaries, by sponsoring annual conventions, continuing education courses, a professional journal (Implant Prosthodontics Monographs), study clubs, and externships. Dentist members can receive advanced standing within the Academy (Fellowship and Mastership status) as their knowledge and experience in implant prosthodontics increases by meeting specific educational requirements and passing an examination.
